Infrared Thermometry Certification
Course Description
This 6 hour course explores the technological advantages of using infrared thermometry in animal cruelty investigations and incidents of animals left unattended in hot vehicles or cold environments. Topics include the fundamentals of infrared radiation, IR thermometry devices, hypothermia and hyperthermia in animals, constitutional law, and proper incident documentation. This course is designed to endure even the toughest cross-examination in court by covering all aspects of equipment calibration, officer training, and temperature measurement technique.
Students attending this course are issued their own Fluke 62 Max Plus infrared thermometer to keep for future investigations. AACIS provides a lifetime warranty and free replacement for these infrared thermometers.
